Number 43 is the vision of Lesley Hornsby, who has focussed her creative energy into every aspect and detail of the Guesthouse.

Stylish yet practical, contemporary yet comfortable, classic not trendy.

The Lounge and Dining Room have been furnished with a blend of classic lines, English Lloyd Loom combined with stylish crushed velvet settees. Beautiful oak floors continue through to the dining room, with period-style chandeliers completing the ambient decor.

Just five bedrooms are available at Number 43; each is meticulously styled with its own character and charm.

Bose music systems, flat screen televisions and internet connection are a standard feature in the bedrooms, along with King sized beds, exquisite bed linen and Herdwick wool carpets. All bathrooms are en-suite and fitted with under floor heating to continue the warm and cosy feel of the rooms.

If you are wish to make the most of the spectacular evening sunsets or enjoy morning coffee on a fresh morning, you can enjoy the terraced garden with stunning views of the Kent estuary, and Lakeland Fells.

In addition to a luxurious night's bed and breakfast, you can also request picnic hampers to see you through a days sightseeing. On returning to Number 43 you can stow your outdoor clothes in our warm boot room to dry wet coats and shoes. We also have a secure cycle store.
