Arnside is a delightful village on the Southern edge of the English Lake District, yet remains largely undiscovered by the hordes that flock to the obvious attraction of lakes and mountains.
The village spreads from the very edge of the Kent Estuary, part of the expansive Morecambe Bay , and climbs toward the viewpoint of Arnside Knott above, itself a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
Just along the 'front' from Number 43 is the heart of the village - a promenade of shops, including art gallery, gift s hops and traditional family bakery. The local public houses, The Albion and The Fighting Cocks, provide a warm welcome and place to make new friends with the Arnside community.
A wealth of wonderful coastal walks for all abilities can be easily reached from the front door of Number 43, as well as the invigorating stretch up to Arnside Knott.
